Jeff Mack constructing a clear goblet
Here he places a bubble of hot glass that he will open to create the "foot" (base) of the vessel. |
|
Opening up the foot to complete the piece
Goblet turned Performance Art Not intending to anneal this piece, without which it will break apart as it cools too quickly to room temperature, Jeff is about to place the completed piece on the ground to be enjoyed for a few moments before self-destruction. |
|
The performance evolves
Someone handed Jeff a beer, which he promptly poured into the still hot goblet. The beer boiled, crackled the glass, and ran out from the vessel like a sieve. The result was a lot of foam. |
